The Magic Bow is an augmented double bass bow that integrates electronic sounds in a double bass performance. An oscillator is installed onto the bow, with a 1/4″ output that can be plugged into any amp or pedalboard.

So far, I have designed two versions: Magic Bow 1 contains a touch pad on the frog of the bow, which changes the output pitch depending on finger placement. Magic Bow 2 has a button on the frog and a light sensor on the tip. Sound is output when the button is pressed, the pitch of which changes depending on light input.
